Why Yealink for Australian Businesses

Yealink is the most widely deployed VoIP desk phone brand in Australia. Their handsets work out of the box with all major Australian SIP providers and most support auto-provisioning, so a phone can be registered and taking calls within minutes of account activation rather than hours of manual configuration. They are not locked to any single carrier, spare parts are available through Australian channels, and the price-to-feature ratio is strong compared to alternatives like Poly or Cisco for standard business use.

Choosing the Right Model

Entry-level (T31G, T33G): One or two lines with basic call handling. Good for reception desks or low-traffic extensions. Mid-range (T43U, T46U, T48U): Four to sixteen lines with colour display, suited to staff who manage multiple calls daily. Premium (T54W, T57W, T85W, T87W): Large touchscreen with built-in Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, suited to managers and high-volume users. Wireless (W56H, W76P): DECT cordless handsets for staff who move around the office.

Common Questions

Do these phones work with any VoIP provider?

Yes. All Yealink phones listed here use the SIP protocol and work with any SIP-compatible Australian VoIP provider, including Maxotel, Crazytel, VoIPline, and MyNetFone. Most providers offer auto-provisioning templates for Yealink handsets, which significantly speeds up the initial setup process.

Do I need a VoIP provider before buying a phone?

Yes. A VoIP desk phone without an active SIP account will show "Not Registered" when plugged in. If you do not have a provider yet, use the "No, I don't" option when prompted during checkout and we will help you find the right one first. You can also visit our VoIP provider guide.

What is the difference between the T-series and W-series phones?

T-series phones are corded desk phones that sit on a desk and connect via Ethernet. W-series phones are DECT wireless handsets. The W76P is a complete kit including a base station and one handset. The W56H is an additional handset only, designed to pair with a W-series base station you already own.

Are these phones covered by Australian warranty?

Yes. Yealink phones purchased through Digiphone include Australian warranty. Digiphone is an Australian retailer with local stock, so warranty support is handled through Australian channels rather than international returns.

Can I use a Yealink phone with Microsoft Teams?

The standard SIP Yealink phones on this page work with hosted PBX systems and SIP trunks, not directly with Microsoft Teams. Teams requires specific Teams-certified handsets. If you need Teams phone integration, see our guide on Teams-compatible phones in Australia.
